![]() The start of the written word begins in either Egypt or Sumeria, some 5,000 years ago. Here I will give a brief tour of our world of languages, and finally a salute to the languages themselves as a list of all of them and their names for themselves. I long wondered what I would do for this final post, and I think I have come to a fitting end. I hope y'all have enjoyed them, and I thank, from the bottom of my heart, everyone who has encouraged me and engaged with me about them. Reviewing my earlier posts have really shown me how far I've come and how much I've learned about writing these. I have loved this project and am sorry to see it end.
